This is a series of artworks celebrating the beauty of the West African woman.
The artist draws Ghanaian women wearing braided hair in different styles, sometimes with cornrows and beads which are very much appreciated in the local culture and are indeed beautiful. The braids are works of art in themselves. The artist's skill and attention to detail gives a very realistic touch to the braids and ethnic ornaments. Subjects are also often surrounded with flowers, plants and creatures, native to the West African environment.
